Echelon Has the Equipment You Need for Your Favorite Winter Sport
We can take care of your winter sporting needs. We can outfit you with equipment for downhill or cross country skiing, snowshoeing, snowboarding and all the accessories that will keep you safe and comfortable when you get to the slopes, trails or back country. We can also perform all your ski and board service needs with our certified ski technicians and our Wintersteiger stone grinder. From an edge and wax to a full tune and binding mount, we’ve got you covered.
Alpine/Downhill Skis
If you want to ride the lift and take advantage of gravity, we have Alpine also called downhill skis. We carry a wide rage of equipment for every skill level, from the beginner to the expert. Go steep and deep with a pair of Volkl Mantras. If you choose the bumps then a pair of Karmas from Volkl might be the best choice. For the beginner some K2 Com 4s or perhaps a pair of K2 One Loves for the ladies.
Alpine Touring Ski
If you like to get away from the crowds and earn your turns but you like your heals locked in for the way down, a pair of Alpine Touring (AT) skis is what you want. We can outfit you with Dukes or Fritchie bindings and you will be on your way to the powder before you know it. Whether your preference is light weight equipment or quality of turn, we have the skis to get you right where you want to be.
Telemark Skis
“Free your heal and your mind will follow.” On or off piste, we have the ski that will keep your mind at ease and a smile on your face. Take some skinny sticks for the next hut to hut trip or some big fatties for that heli-ski trip. We carry telemark skis from Volkl, K2 Black Diamond and G3 for both men and women.
Nordic Skate Skis
Do you like to work hard in the off season? Grab a pair of skate skis and work your entire body. Whether you start your skate from Eldora or Devils Thumb and beyond, we have the skis to get you there. V1, V2 or double pole your way across the flats and hammer up that hill ‘til you make those lungs burn and your legs and arms feel like jello.
Nordic Classic Skis
Classic skiing is Nordic skiing in its most simple form. It may look easy but it will take some work to make those skis stick at just the right time while still allowing you to glide with ease. Anybody can get out there and do it with a pair of Nordic Classic skis. Enjoy the beautiful outdoors on the groomed trails or make your own in the neighborhood.
Backcountry Skis
For those who like the way less traveled, backcountry skis may be right for you. Wider skis with metal edges and a wax-less base make it simpler and more stable to make your way through the variable conditions in the backcountry because the wider skis allow for more weight to be carried or pulled. Consider backcountry skis for your next hut trip or off-trail adventure.
Snowshoes
If you’re not wild about that slipping and sliding feeling, or if you would just like a quite walk in the woods in the winter, consider snowshoes. They are easy to put on and require only a snow boot. If you can walk, you can snowshoe. We recommend a pair of poles to complete the package but those are optional and a personal preference. Get out and enjoy the winter snow and the peacefulness of a fresh snowfall.
